Guardianship

A person requires authority if they wish to make lifestyle decisions for another person who is not capable of making such decisions. Lifestyle decisions include medical, care, financial and housing decisions.

Commonly it is a person having the responsibility of making such decisions for an elderly and frail parent or relative. To do so, that person requires to apply to the Guardianship Tribunal for the requisite authority.
